From a young age my parents would take me to the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, and it was here that my love for theatre grew and grew. In school I loved plays, performance and being onstage. I started out by acting in school plays, with amateur dramatics companies and then at University.

It was whilst studying Drama at Queen's University that I had my first chance to direct. Since that first show directing has been what I love and do. Whilst at Queen's I was massively influenced by several of my teachers and I've been lucky to observe and work with lots of talented practitioners since then, learning from their work whilst influencing my own.

I moved to London to study Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College, University of London. An exhilarating adventure that has since taught and inspired me hugely.
